Those who have been following me for a while will probably know of the species I created a while back called the Daedra. You might also notice that they share their name with a certain group from The Elder Scrolls. Would you believe me if I told you this wasn't intentional? I legitimately had no idea that they would share a name with entities from such a popular franchise because I am just not that well versed in the Elder Scrolls at all. The origins of their name actually came from Daedalic which has its roots in Daedalus from Greek myth. I bounced around with different permutations of this, considering Daedal, Daedali, Daeda, and several others before finally settling on Daedra as the best sounding of the different versions I came up with. With that decided I set about creating the species and posting them. Little did I know that I had just stuck my foot into an entirely different mess with their name.
