Why I will never forget 9/11/2001
Sunday night, someone here posted a "Never forget" hashtag talking about 9/11. I said we have adults who were born after 9/11 and to them, it was "ancient history" Some a-hole said he was in school and basically said he's tired talking about it. I politely told him to go bury his head in the sand, and breathe deeply. I will not and can not forget. EVER. I have too many ties to it. I remember as a kid taking a class field trip to the towers and going all the way up to the roof. Fast forward to 1993, when they first tried to take the towers down. My sister was working there for about three years already. My wife was working nearby for the IRS at the time. Both barely survived it. Time jump forward to August 29, 2001. I had a day off from my job, and I went into the city to help my mom shop for teaching supplies. Towards the end of the day, we decided to go to the towers, "to play tourist". While there, I had gotten a WEIRD vibe out of nowhere--"LOOK AROUND! TAKE IT ALL IN
An explanation of my latest image...
I was hoping more people would have caught the joke in my latest posting: I'll break it down. Deadpool is played by Ryan Reynolds. Natasha Romanoff (Black Widow) is played by Scarlett Johansson. Ryan and Scarlett were married from 2008-2010. The joke is if Deadpool 3 will be set in the MCU (which has not been completely confirmed yet), this would make for a fun scene to be in the movie, with Deadpool keeping his title of "The Merc With The Mouth" and pissing off Black Widow enough for her to try and hurt him (supposedly their RL divorce was amicable), either a scene in the movie, or a mid-credits time and dimension hopping gag like the one in Deadpool 2, where he kills both the "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" Wade Wilson and "Ryan Reynolds" after he's finished reading the "Green Lantern" script. This would be one of those great "comic awareness" moments that gets peppered in the DP movies. Now that I've explained it, what do you guys think about it?
